Inspiring Organizations to Support in the GTA

Here at Mohigo we take pride in helping you and your team make a successful difference. Whether it’s your school fundraiser looking for additional help to raise some extra funds for new books in a school less fortunate or an annual sports tournament looking to provide a donation to a health organization across the globe, Mohigo can help you do just that.

While most of our work is helping provide you the opportunity to raise money through clothing and used good donations, we also know a little bit about inspiring organizations across the GTA in which you can help support.

Though there are hundreds of more wonderful companies out there to support, we thought we should shine light on a few that stood out:


Social Services 

416 Community Support for Women

The 416 community works in support with women throughout the GTA who require assistance whether it be dealing with addiction, homelessness, mental health issues, etc. the 416 Community Support group provides support for all women. Common services provided include meals, food banks, sports and recreation along with necessary life skill training centers to help inspire and teach women about living quality lives.

Canadian Tire Jump Start

This may be a charity you’ve heard around quite a bit. Jump Start runs across Canada and is based in Toronto, Ontario. Canadian Tire has put together an organized sport organization which helps support children throughout Canadian communities. This foundation will help send children without the funds to take part in organized sport an opportunity to be involved.

Mental Health 

Alzheimer’s Society

If you’ve ever experienced the life of a loved one dealing with Alzheimer or dementia, you will understand why the Toronto Alzheimer Society is such a strong and growing community. The society offers support and education to not only those suffering with Alzheimer, but those family members and friends around them. They help promote the awareness of dementia and promote active research.

Austism Speaks Canada

Autism is a common disorder among people throughout the globe. At Autism Speaks Canada it is their mission to help create a positive change in the future for parents, family and friends who deal with this disorder on a daily basis. Through these efforts, this society is able to fund raise, research and prevention strategies as well as raise extensive awareness across the world.

Environment

Environmental Defence Canada

The Environmental Defence organization hopes to connect local people with issues occurring throughout our natural environments and encourage and inspire a positive change. Working to push change not just through locals, but through organizations, businesses and governmental offices as well.

Ontario Nature: Your Voice for Nature

Ontario Nature is a program which helps to preserve and protect wild species. This charity organization started in Algonquin Park to conserve the most beautiful parts of our Ontario landscape. They are now a representative group of more than 30,000 members. Ontario Nature raises awareness and runs various programs to help protect our natural habitat.
